Most clothing today is designed for the dump, resulting in the average US American throwing away 70 pounds of clothing per year! The Fábrica is a solution in their community.

It’s a Community Textile Arts & Salvage Workshop where you can repair your clothes, make your own home decor… You can repair or make anything you want! They stock fabrics, zippers, buttons, thread, and more. All donated to them to keep it out of the landfill. They have community machines, so you don’t need to own one. The volunteers will help and teach you how to fix and make things. There is no charge to use the shop, it’s donation based and nobody is turned away for lack of funds. Share this if you want this in your community!
