Social Media Pages I Recommend to Follow
To break free from oppressive, exploitative systems and the dominator culture takes dedication. To transition into a more harmonious way of living with Earth, humanity and our plant and animal relatives takes intentional practice. How we utilize our social media pages can play a large part in how we live our daily lives.
When I began my journey to break free from societal structures that no longer served me, I spent time going through all the accounts I was following online. Over time, I unfollowed every account that was not serving me on my new life path. Over time, I filled my newsfeeds with the education and inspiration I was desiring by finding new people to follow.
Now, when I go onto social media I am met with opportunities for growth and expansion. I am met with opportunities for connection with the people and organizations I care deeply about and support. I believe the saying “you are your surroundings” holds a lot of truth. With this in mind, I encourage you to surround yourself with the people you look up to and can learn from and to remove those people from your social media who are preventing you from living the life you are truly striving for.
The following is a list of some of the people and organizations that I recommend following on social media. I encourage you to explore this list and see which of these accounts may add value to your life.
I certainly don’t agree with everything that everyone on this list has to say. In fact, I have substantial disagreements with some of them – perhaps many of them. I don’t believe there’s a human on Earth who I live in complete agreement with. But that’s not important to me. I see the value in each of these people and organizations – with both their strengths and weaknesses.
